The Festival

The Juniper festival is a celebration of all things Gin, held typically in June every year since 2014, this original gin festival takes place at Edinburgh's Summer Hall, the three-day festival has grown every year providing an excellent way for Gin lovers to sample Gin’s new and old.

Exhibitors

The list of exhibitors has grown every year and 2022’s saw no exception, with some of the best independent small batch and full production gin distillers from in and around Scotland, but it’s not just local distilleries that are in attendance Ginepraio gin has come from Tuscany!

Festival details

The festival consists of many different interactive experiences, ranging from tastings to in-depth lessons on Gin and its history.

The Entrance fee of £10 per day gives you access to the festival, a welcome drink upon arrival and access to all the excellent exhibitors and their free samples.

#1 Ginepraiogin

Ginepraio is the creation of Enzo & Fabio and has become the most awarded independent Italian gin. Ginepraio was born in Val Tiberina, in the south of Tuscany, A place famous for some of the best juniper in the world and where Britain has been buying juniper for over 400 years.

#2 Edinburgh Gin

Edinburgh Gin get its name from the Scottish capital. They take inspiration from the beautiful city, a captivating city of contrasts and harmony that blends historic tradition. Their classic was a London Dry, which became the foundation for a series of experiments that led to the flavoured gin revolution!

#3 Shoogle Spirits

Shoogle Spirits started in the small village of Stonehouse in South Lanarkshire before scaling up production. In 2021, they built their own distillery in South Lanarkshire. The distillery runs in small batches, where gins are created in single shot runs using a combination of dried and fresh botanical ingredients. The whole family are involved in the production, from macerating spirits to the distillation process, packing and distribution.

#4 Harris Distillery

Harris Gin is made and bottled on the Isle of Harris in Scotland. They are extremely proud of their heritage and the fact that every step of their gin's journey is placed in the care of skilled local hands.

#5 Pixel Spirits

Pixel Spirits was founded by Noru & Craig as an addition to their already thriving hotel based in North Ballachulish between the mountainous Glencoe and the town of Fort William.
